Mean Meals

I know that it may seem really hard to try and imagine a meal with out meat, but its really not that difficult. When we recently went out for a meal, I looked out for the vegetarian options on the menu and was surprised with the amount of nice food there was on offer. We can also eat fish which gives us even more options to choose from.

Pizza Time!

Its a given that pizza is amazing. It's really easy to just order a pizza and salt and pepper chips on the weekend, lets not lie. I wanted to try and make a pizza myself so I got myself some puff pastry and got crackin'. I opted for a BBQ base but you could go for a tomato base which ASDA's 'Passata' sauce is boss for! Then I just added: red onion, tomatoes, spinach, red and yellow peppers, mozzarella and grated cheddar in the crusts. If I do say so myself, I think it looks gorgeous and I can definitely tell you that it tasted great! It was so fun making it as well, with a couple of your mates or on a family night in as well.

Afternoon Tea

If you are more of a snacker, then sandwiches, crackers and a little bit of cake is for you. Afternoon is great if you want to treat yourself and its great as you come back and keep picking at it. I went for tinned salmon on brown bread, crackers with coleslaw and raspberries cheesecake. Tinned tuna and salmon are great substitutes for meat, and contain more protein and Amiga 3. Crackers and crabsticks are a good little snack to have with hummus or coleslaw; crab sticks especially, as they are very low in fat.

The Fat Italian

Recently, my family and I have been going to 'The Fat Italian' in Ormskirk and have been loving it! The have the most amazing food there and at a very good price. They also have a great selections of food for vegetarians/pescatarians. Here are just a few of the meals that we have had from there so far...

MEAL TIP!

Curry is one of my favourite meals and I had to make sure that I could still have a tasty curry. After a bit of googling, we found butternut squash and chickpea curry with veg and it is beautifullll!

Meal Making

I have alot of people ask me how I am so healthy and how I find the time to prepare my meals for school. I sometimes make my dinner in the morning if I have time, but generally I make it the night before. Its really not that hard, I just throw some salad leaves, peppers, cucumber and some type of fish together. You would alter this for what suits you but for me that is great! Just thought I'd give you a few foods that you may want to try and you can mix and match them for dinners' and teas'.

Beans, Beans

Beans are one of the best sources of protein. They are lovely to have in meals and obviously with toast ;-)

Cool Courgettes

Courgettes are my new fave thing! I simply put them on a tinfoil covered tray, sprinkle some salt and pepper ontop and then chuck them in the oven for 10 minutes.

Salt & Spices

I personally love a spicy meal! It just adds that bit more to a meal.
